Planning: The Photoshoots

I have taken a variety of photos for this project in a number of different locations. Later, I will decide which ones are the best and which ones will appear in the magazine.

Planning: Chosen Masthead Name and Masthead Designs

My finalised chosen masthead name  is 'Rebellion' as I feel it really connotes the rock genre well. I have gone through a variety of font designs to see which one best represents my magazine and the rock genere and I feel that this one is the best: 

                                   

This is because just looking at it would indicate what music genre it is. The bits of paint splattered over the sides, connotes how rock music isn't very clean cut but very in your face and out there. The block letters are also good, as capitals usually represents loud and bold things - much like rock music is. I've decided that the colour of this masthead will be read, as red connotes the theme of rock music perfectly. (dangerous, rebellious,) The colour will be a vibrant red, as this also connotes how rock music is kind of 'in your face' most of the time.

Here a few runner up choices, that I feel could have been a really good mast head.
